‘The Old Me’ was written and recorded in the autumn of 2025 at Rockbot Studios with the help of producer Josh Cobb. 

This song is about how many people from your past still follow your journey online, but know little about how you’ve changed and grown as a person, in person.

This is the first song that features electronic manipulation of my vocals to create a nostalgic, 80s dream pop vibe.

This is also the first song I recorded without beginning with instrumental arrangement. Josh and I sat and talked about what this song would look like as a music video, and selected nostalgic tones to build the music around to give the song retro vibe.
